Indeed an honour to be a V.E.S.I.T.ian

This post is my humble attempt to share a unique and special experience I had when I entered the Industry as a fresher, just out of college.

When I joined Sapient, I was told during the induction itself that there are a lot of VESIT alumni working here for quite some time now. I knew some of them as they were my immediate seniors. At that time, I was not in a position to appreciate the standing of my Alma Mater and why did it receive such special mention when there were other freshers from many other reputed institutes present there as well.

A few months in the company, I have now grown to realize that there are a not only freshers like me and people a few years seniors, but quite a few people of the level of Program Managers and even Vice President who are VESIT alumni.

I was always extremely proud of being an Alumni of VESIT, but getting to know all this, I feel even more so. I at first felt extremely happy, almost delighted but, in a moment the realization dawned upon that what all this meant was that it had already predefined the expectations that I have to strive constantly and hard to live up to as an alumnus of VESIT.

This was one small experience I had.

Let us all use this space to come forward and post our own views and experiences when you, as alumni of VESIT felt the way I did. I am sure all of my fellow college mates have surely had similar experiences at either your respective work places or institutes of further studies.

Let us recognize and rediscover the phenomenon that VESIT is today.
